When you don't have a new layout for ten months, there is a problem. Ugh. Anyway, I chalk it up to the fact that I've been ridiculously busy all school year, or maybe just that my creativity went on vacation. But here you are - a new layout (which you can learn more about here) and an update. I plan on working a bit more on the site over the summer, as I'm hoping to be able to offer my services commercially as a web designer, and I'm trying to get a portfolio up.

As for now, though, it's the countdown to finals. I'll update again in a couple of weeks. Ta! [7:03 p.m.]

+ Just a quick update to mention that I've fixed the layout so it's viewable in all browsers - I've checked in IE, Firefox, Safari, and Opera! Only IE reads CSS properly, but I added some extra style tags in the body so it should be working. Also updated my stats page because it was a bit vague before. So that's all for now! [1:45am]

+ Four months later...

Okay guys, seriously? This semester literally kicked my ass. I got a 2.8 - and I do not get a 2.8, like, ever. Luckily my first term GPA pulled it up to a 3.3, but still, I was not happy. Anyway, now that I am unemployed and confined to the house (since everyone else always has the car) and do nothing but RP and watch television all day, I will have plenty of time to update my little corner of the interwebz.

Anyway, finally, NEW LAYOUT! Something cheerful for spring (although it's pretty much sprung it's way outta here) and summer. Plus, Patrick Wolf = LOOOOVE. ♥

+ I've officially decreed myself the winner of the "Lamest Webmistress Ever to Have Plagued the Internet" award. It's been almost two months since I updated this website. From now on, just stop listening to things I say. They're all lies, apparently.

No, really, seriously. This semester is kind of rough. I have an 8:30 am art history class (which is really cool and interesting) that is killing me because I cannot wake up because I stay up too late writing little stories about dead authors being reincarnated as high school students. Also, the arts editor gig takes up a big chunk of time. Plus, I work. And I need to get a B in my English class to consider myself a decent student. (Really, the fail mark is anything below a C-, but if I got a C in English I would consider myself a failure at life, even moreso than I already am.)

I don't know what I want my new layout to look like. Right now, I'm torn between three musicians/groups: Muse, Sondre Lerche, and Patrick Wolf (whose album The Magic Position is going to be stuck in my head forever). It'll happen! Promise! Just not, like, immediately. I have two exams this week and it's very possible that if I don't shape up, I'll fail economics. What on earth possessed me to take that as my social science requirement? Honestly, you'd think I want to torture myself.

Okay, this is not a blog, so I'm going to sum things up by saying I fully realize I said I was going to redo the site but that's going to have to go on the back burner for a while. It's not like anyone looks at this thing, anyway, right? Ha. Okay. Gotta bounce. Bai. [5:12 pm]

+ So, I suck at life and haven't really accomplished anything in regards to this website or school. Basically, yeah. I suck at life. That's all I can say. However, I am going to be Arts Editor of the Trinity Tripod next semester, which means I get first dibs on articles, which means YAY! You get to read more of my ramblings.

I have finals all week (UGHHHH) but once I get home, I'm going to overhaul the layout and set up a little fanfic site for my friend Gina because she is amazing and I love her writing. So look out for that. Does anyone read this thing, anyway? I've been wondering that. I should pimp this on LJ some more. Eh.

At any rate, once I get home for break, I promise to start putting my old sites back online. I think I'm going to try to rename my Merry site. I just have to think of something creative. [1:51 pm]

+ Just had a birthday yesterday, yay! So now I'm nineteen. :D Just added two articles from the Tripod I wrote for last week's issue, one on an a capella performance by the Trinitones and the Williams Octet, and another on an original play by a Trinity student called Daddy. Both were excellent and I encourage you to read the reviews. *hint hint* Haha.

Time to finish my research paper. There will definitely be more updates over reading week (next week, woo!) and Christmas break. Ta! [11:31 pm]

+ Changed the format of the layout to tables because I forgot how much I hate div layers. This way it's centered on all resolutions! I'm also hoping to get my Merry site up sometime in the next couple of weeks. It's not like there'll be many updates, but it's a really great resource and I worked my ass off on it and I love it. That site was my baby.

+ Clearly this layout has nothing to do with Lord of the Rings (as the domain name suggests), but I'm so obsessed with the office (not to mention Jim/Pam) that I couldn't resist making them the focus of the first layout. I'll probably change it soon. I'm just trying to get back into the swing of things, internet-wise. [1:09 am]
